Is God Calling You Closer to the Church?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to become Catholic? Or maybe you were baptized Catholic as a child but never received Confirmation or First Communion, and you have been feeling that quiet nudge to finally complete the journey. Whatever brought you here, we would love to walk with you.
Our OCIA program (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is open to two kinds of hearts:
- Those exploring the Catholic faith for the first time, who have never been baptized, were baptized in another Christian tradition, or simply have questions you are ready to start asking.
- Baptized Catholics who never received Confirmation and/or First Communion. It is never too late; many people come back to this step later in life, and we are genuinely glad when they do.
What to Expect
OCIA unfolds in a few natural stages: getting to know Christ and the Church, growing in understanding of Scripture and the sacraments, and a final season of prayerful preparation during Lent. For most, the journey reaches its joyful high point at the Easter Vigil, when candidates receive the sacraments of initiation.
Along the way, you will be supported by a sponsor or godparent, welcomed into our parish community, and given space to ask honest questions at your own pace.
